- looking for the stolen dino eggs;
- making sure they do not appear in the wrong place and time and effect the normal way of evolution;
- finding your lost fiance.
 
Previously, in point-and-click and hidden object games, you would be offered to travel to different countries, or to a particular epoch of the past (just like in Cassandra's Journey: Secrets of Nostradamus ).
 
But that’s the first time we’re talking about a trip through the whole history of the planet Earth that begins with prehistoric dinosaur era and ends up in the Mushroom age. As you proceed to the next episodes, you meet live beings symbolizing each era(you’re going to deal with a dino on Jurassic Era, with a caveman while solving puzzles on a stone age and a robot when travelling to 3008 A.D). This means, you’re going to observe the history and evolution of our planet and even gaze at the future, which makes this casual game so close to a sci-fi movie.

Dialogues and voice-over. Each meeting with a new creature is accompanied by dialogues just like in other Nevosoft games such as Pirateville and Christmasville. By speaking to the characters of the game you will get to know where you’re now, what you need to do and how you get to the next era. The dialogues now have a voice-over performed by professional actors, and I really loved them. They bring a great deal of dynamism into the game. If you still feel irritated about having to listen to the long speeches, you can always skip them to proceed to the game.

Game genre. As you see, Mushroom Age is not a mere hidden object game. The title blends elements of point-and-click, and ispy with countless types of puzzle like scrabble, jigsaw, spot-the-difference.  After you play hidden object and point-and-click levels to fulfill the request of a character (like relieve dino’s toothache, make a fire for a caveman), you will be offered to solve a mini-puzzle. As you are done with it all, you can proceed to the next level.
