Prepare yourself to see a game with incredibly high production values, innovations in gameplay mechanics, approach to game graphics and the whole investigation process.
As you can see from the title, it does not suit the game fans of all ages. Women’s Murder Club will lead you through the investigation of a chain of murders. Some of the scenes are so realistic they’re not for children’s eyes(say, you’ll have to inspect eyes and hands of the victims). As far as I remember, this is the first game in the histrory of the casual games where investigation reaches this far.

James Patterson's Women's Murder Club: Death in Scarlet is the first game you’ll have to play with several characters, meaning that you’ll be swithcing between them depending on the task set. Say, while investigating a crime scenes, you’ll have to play as Lindsey Boxer, a detective working with Sanfrancisco police. When making blood type tests and other terrible forensic stuff, you’ll have to play as forensic pathologist Clair Washburn. And when it comes to sniffing out some news, information from newspaper archive, and digging dirt you’ll have to play as Cindy Thomas, a journalist of San Francisco Chronicle.

To give you a better idea of what you’re going to play, let’s look into the scheme of your investigation.
1. A dead body of a beautiful Asian woman is found (you’ll have to investigate two murders that are obviously connected with each other and have the same Chinese branding across their chest). As a detective, you’ll need to investigate the crime scene by finding all the hidden objects, collecting clues(this can be done as you solve point-and-click puzzles on the picture of the scene. You collect clues like blood stains, finger-prints and send them to forensic analyst).
2. As a forensic pathologist you’ll be performing blood tests, fingerprints analysis and other tests. This can be done as you challenge your mind with point-and-click puzzles.
3. After that you’ll have to search for the info on the criminal or victim in police database.
4. When you have a circle of suspects and want to digg dirt related to them, this is a job of Cindy Thomas. She will be sneaking to the possessings of the suspects, and rummaging in archives of San Francisco chronicle to provide more information to the detective.
I have several tips before you start playing:
1. You can use hints if you’re stuck on hidden object scenes. If you’re trapped in some mini-puzzles, you can use Skip button, and the puzzle will be solved automatically.
2. If after performing some action, you’re at a loss about what to do, just click the glimmering object - this might be another point-and-click puzzle that will lead you to a clue.
3. When in a lab, you’ll have to perform blood tests. Read the instruction on the bottles carefully as you’ll need to place the bottles accordingly.
4. Most of the puzzles are intuitive. You’ll have to make up a picture out of round pieces, take an earring by blocking the crab’s way etc.
Unfortunately, on some hidden object scenes the clues are too small to spot. Plus, there is no way you can earn additional hints, which is not very encouraging. So, if you have any questions as for the game, post them, and we’ll try to investigate together!
